"I wanted some of that O.J justice"

Not sure how this one slipped through my net...

The radar needs fine tuning.

Madhuwan

I had an amazing meal with my brother last night. The starter looked something like this...

It was from a new Nepalese restaurant near me. I'd never been, we had often joked about our friend the Wilson being employed by them for the amount he would mention this place. He had his reasons that's for sure, the food was amazing. Inside it looks like this...

To read more about the place Click here No stranger to a headset Luigi took some of our new We headphones for a spin earlier...

Finally Rob was looking for some Brophy footage and stumbled across this amazing clip of Pin from Pizzers old file...

There can only be one winner

The Slam City Skates Jake's Alley game of skate has come to a close after the best part of a year. The final went live today. Congratulations to Vaughan who took home a hundred pounds and this...

My favourite thing about the trophy was the Ches finger maintenance. Ches and Lev deserve a reward for keeping them coming, it's been emotional. The rest of today's post will focus mainly on Mark Jackson. He had a very polite assistant first thing this morning...

Our old Slam printer was a bone of contention for a long time before it finally gave up the ghost. Half printed sheets, forgotten jobs, phantom paper jams. Here's Mark at the height of printer induced madness...

Here's the catharsis. I wanted to edit this to the Ghetto Boys as an ode to Office Space, my favourite Magdalena Dudziec recommendation. Jackson smash!!

The ten pound note which greeted me on my daily cash point visit was carrying a pretty powerful message...

Whoever wrote this did their job, if you want to read more Click here Have fun at carnival!

The battle begins

It began a long time ago. Thought I'd bring you this video from 07 because I don't think I have before...

Billy and myself caught Worthless and the whole Raggotech army at the Roxy off of Oxford street last night. Next time they do a show you should too. In the absence of a companion to talk to that long road home from a night bus journey requires the kind of garage fodder that will keep your brain awake long enough to guide you through the front door. Last night's relief...

How I met your Mother season 5 begins next month. This is good news

Wednesday 26 August 2009

I know what you did last Tuesday

You don't but I'll give you a brief insight. I really hurt my knee and spent a fair bit of time with some frozen peas on it. I saw this...

Lots of Nazi's met a sticky end. This came on my ipod and stoked me out...

America's most hardcore was the track. Ad-rock bass-ism. That's the sum of it. Our favourite Australian is back...

Underlined by his newest giant shred sled. If my information is correct this guy should be walking through the door any second and giving it some of this...

He hasn't yet but Jaynesy has. See you tomorrow

Clash of the titans will be up this Wednesday...

A hefty crew showed up to view proceedings...

Check back on Wednesday to see what went down. We've been backing this film here of late...

To learn more about it before you grab yourself a copy Click here I'm hoping those of you who click on Jackson's clip on today's news post are more suitably impressed than was Nugget. I had a video clip to follow this comment, uploading this was taking too long however. I'll bring you it later this week

8 Months in the making

The Jakes Alley Game of Skate has been beamed into your screens since the start of this year. Today it looks like it's going to draw to a close. Smithy is set to play Jensen in the Semi final for the chance to play Vaughan in the final. These games will be up for your viewing pleasure this week. Danny Victor Brady has been in today, he's rooting for a particular team mate it seems...

He didn't have a Smithy shirt. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I snapped this picture of Hoppy in Alley camo yesterday...

We need to start making these

Mission accomplished

Last night was a success. There was an impressive turnout...

Free beer is always appreciated. The main event was...

The pork pies flew off the tray. I can't eat them because of jelly issues, I know Snowy agrees with me on that front. Thanks to Tom Henshaw and the good folk from es and Charlie and Gary and all at Crooked Tongues for an enjoyable and manageable evening. I snapped a good one of the Mighty Cougar the other night. The rouge salute...

Toby's new stuff has arrived and will be available from the online shop and in the store on Monday...

To peruse the new season Click here My favourite new shirt is this Townes Van Zandt one...

Some pictures Rob took of Jackson yesterday cracked me up...

Have a good Weekend

Foothills

This is planned for you this evening...

The beer is in the basement and I just heard an exciting finger food rumour. The shindig is to celebrate the collaboration that has taken place between es and Crooked Tongues. We have the shoes, they look like this...

Apologies for the watermark, I lifted the images from the Crooked Tongues website to give you a decent peak at them. Each shoe has an item of apparel referencing the three colourways. Available will be a cap, a backpack and a jacket. To find out more about the project Click here Hopefully we'll see you here later on to crack open a few beers. If you want to check them out on our online store along with the rest of our es range Click here You may remember Will Sweeney's drawing style from his work with Silas. He was responsible for Helmut the Hotdog man and a lot more...

Massey drew my attention to a recent animation. Check it out it's sick Click here Finally any whiff of ducking it has a new soundtrack

See you later on tonight or at our weekly two day hardware festival

Happy Birthday

It's Neil's birthday. Here's a picture for him...

a suitably Baron-esque foodstuff there if I do say so myself.

This is Zic

In between Ipods Dan Callow purchased an MP3 player of a different caliber. This was his Zic play. A legend was born...

Zic was a trusty friend, Dan was heavily backing Zic. It took a little while for Zic to get going but when he was going the going was good. Two things which happened last Christmas changed the course of History. A new Ipod replaced Zic Play's reign of terror on the airwaves. The second stocking filler, a gift from Dan's girlfriend was a very handy video camera. This has been affectionately named Zic Cam. Zic Cam now has it's own blog. To pay him a visit and see the latest starring Luigi Click here

Visual Hearing

a favourite Sandler clip there. It pertains to my friend's new internet outlet. Himself and one more contributor have a blog just over a month old documenting the golden era of hip-hop. Have a trawl through, there's a lot there and it keeps on coming. To listen to/read about some possibly forgotten gems and maybe as a result dust of some 12"s/CD's/Cassetes filled with all that good stuff Click here

Snake Hips

Here's some proof that Ault is not scared of a ballsy maneuver on or off a skateboard...

The place that frontside air took place inspired his first tattoo. This is the newest addition...

This picture is for Rob out there on holiday wondering what's happening on his Sunday shift...

Graham visits are standard issue, Ches has been missing though of late. He's been in NYC filming this guy...

Yes Chewy! Have you seen his sequence in the new Sidewalk? You have now sort of...

We've had a flying visit from this guy...

He's currently winging his way to Lyon to join the Gypsy Tour. Have a good one Brophy. Enjoy the rest of your Weekend

Back in the shop

I've had mid week breaks the past two weeks so apologies for sporadic posts. My family has been visiting. Happy to report a lot of skateboarding has been happening too. What's new? These are things which greeted me this morning. Edson's zine is in the counter. Come and get one. Shipman's on the cover ...

It's filled with sick photos. Charlie and Shier, Baines, a Wolfboy story and what's more.. Femi interview? No Way! It's in there...

Get your copy in here while we still have some. Here's Stella's piece in Rob's ongoing Girl sticker likenesses...

A much more detailed drawing Rob made of her is on Joey's new Landscape board...

This and the newest Landscape boards are available in here now. Brophy's back...

His passport, plane ticket, wallet and other un-important stuff was found kicking around behind the counter earlier. It feels like i haven't seen Toddy for ages. Here's his Girl sticker...

and a photo I found lurking in the camera. His joy at his latest Macintosh acquisition courtesy of Oli Macintosh. That never going to list is almost gone...

Magee, myself and Jensen received a package from Ecuador this morning. It's David Holguin's new doco. The title means "It's my fault"...

Here's some footage of the man behind the lens...

and the man who sent the package...

Thanks for the long distance post my friends. We're expecting some Notch action this Weekend Jackson. This was the only un-used photo in the cam. Duck tales...

Martin Kinelly just walked in. Slugger on tour, Louie Jones in tow. Have a good Weekend

The S11 Connection

I got two emails in as many minutes today from two OG Sheffield heads holding it down in our fair City. They were drawing my attention to good internet fodder and I am passing it on. Seth sent me a link to some footage of this guy...

Pontus Alv kills it. To see the Emerica ad for the shoe he has out Click here
Ches sent me a link to a nice interview with this guy...

We all know Mike Graham ran things in The FIT video. He's had more than one post on here in the past. For a decent read Click here I just got back from watching this...

Cerebral stuff.
