Rhinoceros

Thanks to everyone who came to the Wayward Gallery on Wednesday night to see
In Search Of The Miraculous
The dvd is in store now to buy and is £5.95. Charlie has a new lamp made out of one of these...

I made a note in my phone the other day when a track came on the pod. It's true that familiarity can breed contempt. Sometimes a favourite album can come on when shuffle's in action and you skip it without thinking, I do anyway. These are the albums you always need with you though because when they hit the note at the right time you are stoked. Some favourites don't age gracefully and others...

...are absolutely timeless.

Don't forget

Tonight is the premiere of In Search Of The Miraculous, the latest film Pontus Alv has made. Here's a moment of his many years back in my favourite video of all time...

If you can make it we'll be seeing you there...

The dvd will be on sale tomorrow if you miss out tonight. It's £5.95

Arson!

Seth'll be feeling this title. It relates to my day out whizz planking yesterday. Hops was on fire at Stockwell!...

He came from the scene...

From what I can make out some yoots set a car ablaze, it stunk to high heaven. It didn't stop Paddy not doing a lien to tail in the toxic smoke...

Afterwards I saw this band play with Hops, Luigi, Andy and Karl...

We got there in the Luigi-Mobile, everything in it is round. Make sure you are here tomorrow...

Free booze and the first video premiere in the Wayward Gallery

It's going to Luigi hands down...

It's a powerful piece...

With the Weather staying like this hopefully and acquiring an oven mitt and apron high on your list of priorities for barbecue season, keep us in mind. The Santa Cruz sets are still here...

Stay Calm

"Where do you want to go today?" This childhood Saturday morning question was answered more often than not by "Imperial War Museum" I hadn't been there for years, it's all a little more sobering as an adult. The trenches is as good as I remember it...

This picture of people seeking shelter at Elephant and Castle tube during the Blitz caught my eye...

The Holocaust exhibition is really well done and obviously super gnarly. There's a piece of the Berlin wall outside...

The shindig at WeSc on Neal Street last night was fun. These guys turned up to see Toddy...

Busy as all hell today and Weekend imminent so I'm signing off. Keep next Wednesday night free! The premiere of Pontus' new film is happening at Wayward headquarters...

Goggle box

After a long while of not watching any programmes I'm happy to report that I'm enjoying season 3 of this...

and re-visiting season 4 of this...

Mellow one

Nice of whoever it was to discard this on one of our benches yesterday...

Sheeesh! Camden council came and sorted it out as it was gone this morning. Apologies for the photo quality, I used safety zoom. It's been well publicised by crew already but I don't think it can be stressed enough that this guy is the best on a skateboard....

Unfortunately I missed him on his last brief visit. Check his recent cliche ad
Here!
Some lesser spotted Slam talent is featured in the latest Zic. When he's not doing Rob Schneider impersonations...

Luigi is smashing it on his skateboard. Unfortunately his skateboard has been smashing his wrist so his music career is temporarily on hold. Luigi and Jamie Aaaargggghh join Charlie in the latest
ZIC
Zic is now in a suitcase far away...

Happy holidays!

What's new?

Back in the work zone and things are pretty much the same in here. One new development is a full clip of Girl boards and Chocolate too...

This is a new exciting development in my World...

The first of my flower arsenal to sprout with more backed up. It's going to look good out there. This Friday our friends over at the
Wayward Gallery
have a brand new exhibition on...

HUNT at the Wayward Gallery brings together two emerging London artists Polly Brown and Rewati Shahani. Both artists, utilising a variety of medium, work with a view to exploring aspects of human and environmental interaction. HUNT aims to concentrate on the complicated and interrelated relationship between man and nature. From the empirical reclaiming of land from the sea to the replication of nature in house plants, the works concentrate on the manipulation of environments, the results of human desires. Keep abreast of all things

The wanderer returns

I haven't been wandering really, we had a base the whole time. The trip we planned turned out amazingly well and was very productive. It was the first time the UK Carhartt skateboard team as a whole went on a trip of their own. The UK Carhartt team is as follows...Neil Smith, Jerome Campbell, Joe Gavin, Rob Smith and Rogie. Bertrand Trichet...

documented the whole trip and I'll direct you to the article when it comes out in the coming months. Lev filmed the whole thing so an edit will accompany it. We had a special guest pictured here with Lev...

The photo is taken at Belushi's in Newquay where the premiere of Pontus' new film was held. Thanks to Gerrard at Ekta skateboards for sorting that one out. The special guest was Hjalte Halberg....

He's the king of Denmark. We came back yesterday and wished Ben Dominguez a happy Birthday. In the day we took Hjalte on a tour of the streets. My muse for the day was this guy...

Yes Hops!...

The first night back after two weeks in a Nando's free zone made the dinner decision a no brainer. This links nicely to the only un-used photo from my trip away taken in a pub car park and the end of this post...

Normal Jake's Alley service has resumed.

Gather around the projector

Here is a pure holiday snap fest of things which caught my eye...

Cape Cornwall-The Cape is the point at which Atlantic currents split, either going south up the English Channel, or north into the Bristol Channel and Irish Sea. A little known fact is the definition as to what a "cape" really is - it is a headland where two oceans or channels meet. In this case the English Channel and St George's Channel. It is the only cape in England.

The Brisons-known locally as "General de Gaulle in his bath". See you tonight...

Holiday snaps

We just got back from our first day surfing. Surfing is the business. Thought I'd check in while I have the chance to show you some pictures. Classic view taken in St Ives...

This is one of a seal we spotted in the water. He hung around for a while...

We're gonna need a bigger boat...

Here's a window into our holiday village's local disco...

I'm slightly agorophobic so I haven't been in there so much. One sign post tickled me yesterday, in Australia you have these to warn of their hopping hazards...

Under a bridge in Bodmin there are far more dangerous things to look out for...

Pizzer gets down here tomorrow. He directed me to to this sick site dedicated to
dogs
Any of you reading happen to be in the Newquay area this coming Thursday will be able to catch the second premiere of Pontus' new film. It's responsible for this getting a rinse out...

Please make the premiere if you can...
